Our Legacy
A house built on
rain and patience.
Founded in 1882 in the heart of Kolkata, Mohendra Dutt & Sons became India's first name in umbrellas — manufacturer, trader and quiet custodian of a craft that the monsoon tests every single year.
Five generations later the ribs are still set by hand, the canopies still cut to measure, and the range has grown to rainwear, bags and wind cheaters — each made with the same instruction passed down since the beginning: make it last longer than the man who buys it.
